Title
Assessing the Performance of Flux Imbalance Prediction Models Using Large Eddy Simulations Over Heterogeneous Land Surfaces
Description
This dataset was generated in the atmospheric model (Icosahedral Nonhydrostatic Model, ICON) for the purpose of assessing the performance of four flux imbalance prediction models in the context of heterogeneous land surface conditions characterized by a range of heterogeneity scales. The original dataset was generated on the Jülich Wizard for European Leadership Science (JUWELS) of the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), and has a size of approximately 2.9 terabytes. Access to the original dataset is available upon request to the authors. Additionally, a namelist file is included. The work can be repeated easily; however, a soil moisture file must be read (located at ../Pre/) for the model to provide the lower boundary condition for the atmosphere. This work has been published on the journal Boundary-Layer-Meteorology, interested readers are referred to the paper: https://doi.org/10.1007/s10546-024-00880-y
