- Influence of mycorrhization on essential oil content and physiological response of Mentha genotypes under different UV-treatments
- Description
- This study deals with the essential oil content and physiological response of different Mentha genotypes on the one hand under different light conditions and on the other hand under the influence of mycorrhization. For this purpose, three different Mentha genotypes (Mentha × piperita 'Multimentha', Mentha × piperita 'Fränkische Blaue' and Mentha rotundifolia 'Apfelminze') were exposed to different UV-treatments (control (irradiation under greenhouse conditions), elevated UV-B radiation (1.4 W/m², 700 % of control) and shaded conditions (30 % of control)) and partially inoculated with arbuscular mycorrhiza. Plant vitality was determined using vegetation indices (VIs). This experiment was presented at the DFA-Tagung 2023 in Freising, Germany and published.
